What is tiger balm gardens?

Tiger Balm Gardens, also known as Haw Par Villa, is a cultural theme park located in Singapore. It was built by the brothers Aw Boon Haw and Aw Boon Par, the creators of the popular Tiger Balm ointment.

The park is famous for its exquisite sculptures and depictions of Chinese mythology and folklore. It features over 1,000 statues, including the Ten Courts of Hell, a depiction of the afterlife, showing the different punishments and torments that await those who have committed sins.

Tiger Balm Gardens is also home to numerous colorful and vibrant gardens, including a lotus pond, dragon garden, and monkey garden.

It was first opened to the public in 1937 and has undergone several renovations and transformations. Today, it is a popular tourist attraction and is also used as an educational and cultural center, hosting events and activities related to Chinese culture and traditions.
